Chantae Cann

Sol Empowered

As Chantae Cann’s adventurous remix of her debut album (Re-WERC) hits retailers worldwide, Atlanta Records is thrilled to announce Sol Empowered; Chantae Cann’s second studio album is set for release on October 13, 2017 in collaboration with Ropeadope.

Sol Empowered finds the artist in a positive space, as Ms. Cann states she has most recently been inspired in the areas of knowing, valuing and appreciating her own self-worth, and she desires to motivate others to do the same.

Sol Empowered further solidifies Chantae’s signature sound while referencing the comforting sounds from her first album, Journey To Golden. Lyrically, this is a love letter from Chantae to her listeners with an in depth look at her evolution as an artist, and most importantly who she has come to be as a person. Sol Empowered is intentional and deliberate, yet free-spirited.

Collaborations on Sol Empowered include Tarriona Tank Ball from Tank and the Bangas, Snarky Puppy, and PJ Morton of Maroon 5.

Sol Empowered finds Chantae co-writing and producing with Justin C. Gilbert - an active member of Justin Timberlake & The Tennessee Kids as well as BBE All-Star Band.

In a complex and often critical world, Chantae Cann finds a sacred space of joy and comfort, both in her compositions and her vocal style. Nothing is overdone for the sake of impression; the entire album feels like a gentle affirmation of the soul.

Journey To Golden The RE-WERC

Two roads intertwine to create an unexpected pathway of future sounds and hypnotic vocals. Chantae Cann’s Journey to Golden RE-WERC project is just that. For this edition of WERC Crew’s RE-WERC series, producers fused Chantae’s contemporary Jazz vocals alongside a progression electronic backdrop. This uncanny pairing will come courtesy of Chantae Cann’s debut album, Journey To Golden, which dropped March 2016 and debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and #7 of the Jazz Billboard Charts. It’s not everyday that an exceptional Jazz vocalist teams up with a super group of extraordinary DJs and producers to construct a project.

Xavier BLK, Co-Founder of WERC Crew, recruited producers from the Atlanta based collective, as well as frequent collaborators, Troy Sylvia, Anthem, DJIN (of In Good Company), and the Westwindz to all take part in the second RE-WERC compilation. Trap House Jazz Artist Masego also adds his flare to the project.
